“The government incurs a 15,000 crore loss from the alcohol ban but it is being sold openly. So, whose pocket is this money going into?” AAP MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj mentioned.

Once the dying toll in the Gujarat Hooch Tragedy has risen to twenty-eight, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) mentioned that even after alcohol was banned in the state, over 845 people have misplaced their lives in the previous 15 years.

“Gujarat is a dry state. Still more than 845 people have died in 15 years after drinking toxic alcohol. Under which politicians runs such a large organized network? is sold openly. So, whose pocket is this money going into?” AAP MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj mentioned.

Bhardwaj attacked the federal government, saying some people need the counterfeit and poisonous liquor enterprise like Gujarat to be in Delhi.

“Ever since the Delhi government introduced the new Excise Duty Directive, these people are very upset. They want to start the same old business by removing the legitimate businesses. There are 468 wine shops in Delhi, fewer than before,” the AAP MLA mentioned.

Meanwhile, Gujarat Police have filed an FIR and registered a Section 302 (Murder) case. Up to twenty-eight people have died after allegedly consuming counterfeit, regionally produced alcohol in the state’s Botad district.
