Gurugram horror: 4 workers killed, 1 injured after falling from 17th floor

Gurugram: Four workers had been killed whereas one other was injured in a tragic accident whereas fixing a tower crane on the 17th floor on the building website in Sector-77 of Gurugram on Tuesday night, officers mentioned. The incident befell round 5:00 pm at an under-construction website of Emaar Plam Hills in Sector-77 the place a residential challenge is arising.

Of the 5 victims, 4 died immediately whereas one was hospitalized in a vital situation. All the victims had been natives of Bihar, police mentioned.


“The accident occurred after the victims had been fixing a tower crane used to move building supplies on high of the housing challenge on the 17th floor and so they slipped. All 5 fell from the 17th floor one in every of them was caught on the twelfth floor security tools and had been injured and present process remedy whereas the remaining died,” mentioned Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Manesar Suresh Kumar.

Kumar mentioned that prima facie “we found that the required safety equipment installed by the contractor on the 12th floor was not enough. A detailed inquiry will be conducted into the matter”.

“Dis magistrate and a crime scene team will soon visit the site and after a detailed investigation, FIR will be registered against the concerned persons of the project as per the prescribed law,” added Kumar.

According to the police, the contract of the challenge was given to a JJRS contractor.

The our bodies of the victims have been deposited within the civil hospital. Further particulars of the victims are but to be ascertained, police mentioned.
