New Delhi: Bihar Janata Dal (United) MLC Gulam Rasool Balyawi has sparked controversy saying “we will turn every city into Karbala (“har shehar ko karbala bana denge)” and that he is ready to sacrifice everything for the sake of humanity and Defending his controversial statement, the JDU leader said members of the Muslim community were being held behind bars after being branded terrorists and called for the establishment of a “safety regulation Muslims” for the security of the neighborhood.

JDU MLC Gulam Rasool Balyawi made the controversial remarks on Thursday in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. Addressing expelled BJP leader Nupur Sharma, he mentioned: “If you get your hands on the honor of my aaka (master) we have gathered in Karbala Maidan and for his respect we will transform the cities in Karbala.”
He additional alleged that no social gathering claiming to be secular had demanded the arrest of Nupur Sharma. At the rally, he known as for a Muslim safety regulation modeled on the 1989 Scheduled Castes and Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
