I also have a desire to become CM, the percentage of my community is more than Vokkaligas. Is it possible for me to become CM, only with the support of my community? Not possible,” stated Mr Khan.

Vokkaliga leaders from the state’s ruling BJP lambasted Mr Khan, branding his remarks an try and belittle the group. Reports stated that Nirmalanandanatha Swami, a distinguished Vokkaliga seer, conveyed his grief to the Congress leaders.
