Ghaziabad (UP), Jan 18 (PTI) A leopard was killed after being hit by a high-speed vehicle on the Delhi Meerut freeway right here, police stated on Wednesday.
The incident occurred on Tuesday evening close to the village of Kalcheena when the leopard, believed to be crossing the street, was hit by a vehicle. He died immediately, Deputy (Rural) Police Commissioner Ravi Kumar stated.
The police rushed to the scene and knowledgeable the sub-prefect and the forest service workforce.
An FIR has been registered in opposition to the proprietor of the vehicle at Bhojpur Police Station. The police acquire the CCTV footage to confirm the small print of the vehicle. The accident occurred on the Ghaziabad-Meerut runway of the DME, he stated.
