Gandhinagar: A Gujarat courtroom has issued an arrest warrant for Oreva Group’s Jaysukh Patel in reference to an October 30 bridge collapse in Morbi wherein 134 individuals had been killed. Ajanta Manufacturing Limited (Oreva Group) had been awarded the refurbishment, restore contract and on Sunday Morbi Chief Judicial Magistrate MJ Khan issued a warrant for the arrest of Patel beneath Section 70 of the Code of Procedure penal (CrPC).

“The court has issued an arrest warrant against Jaysukh Patel of the Oreva group, who had a contract for the renovation of the Morbi bridge. He has not been arrested for 70 days. Patel will not be named as a defendant within the FIR filed by police within the case.
