EXPLOSIVE INSTALLATION STOPPED

The installation of the explosives in Supertech’s twin towers was halted after it failed to receive a certificate of non-objection (NOC) from Noida Police on Tuesday.

Explosives were to be placed in both towers from August 2 to 20. However, the work could not start on the specified date.

Officials had marked around 10,000 pillars in the tower to begin blasting. By August 20, 3700 kg of explosives were to be poured into all lanes.

“Charging explosives are brought in a prescribed amount from Palwal, Haryana, and then placed in the skeletal structures of the Twin Towers. Gautam Buddh Nagar Police will provide a security escort while the explosives are being transported,” an official informed PTI.

PRE-DEMOLITION WORKS COMPLETED
