A 50-year-old man killed himself after being tied to a tree and crushed by villagers as his son fled with a lady in Chhatarpur district, Madhya Pradesh, police stated on Tuesday.
The incident, which occurred between March 2 and March 4, was reported to police on Sunday, an official stated.
A case has been registered towards six individuals beneath Sections 306 (incitement to suicide) and 341 (undue duress) of the Indian Penal Code at Bachhon Police Station of Chandla Police Station, Superintendent of Police Sachin Sharma stated.
