New Delhi. Ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Shivpal Yadav stated on Wednesday January 18, 2023 that his social gathering was “alone” succesful of “defeating” the Bharatiya Janata Party in Uttar Pradesh.

Asked in regards to the attainable alliance of opposition events for the upcoming normal elections, Yadav informed reporters, “Only the SP is able to defeat the BJP in the UP. All socialists must unite.”

He added that his goal was to take away the BJP from energy (in the Center) in 2024 and make Akhilesh Yadav the following UP Chief Minister in 2027.
