“I have never run away in my life. These are all baseless cases against me. I arrived at the court before 11 am and asked for the case to be expedited because I have other engagements. The lawyer said that it will take time and I requested him to put an application for exemption. Then I left. I was at a function then for four hours and I also attended other engagements. Then I started hearing these allegations,” Mr Sachan instructed reporters in Kanpur right now.

“Let the CCTV footage be examined in the court. I will go to the court tomorrow and present my side of the story through my lawyers,” Mr Sachan added.
